Arch Insurance International names new head of executive assurance

Arch Insurance International has promoted Maggie Munns to head of executive assurance and Matthew Doherty to director of underwriting for the same business. Both take up their new positions immediately.

Munns will now be responsible for leading the division’s underwriting activities, which include commercial D&O, SME D&O, financial institutions and transactional risk. She will be based in London and report to Mike Lay, chief underwriting officer for long tail lines. Munns has worked at Arch since 2015.

She replaces Michael Chu, who is moving back to the US to rejoin Arch Insurance North America as senior vice-president of P&C programs.

Doherty joined Arch in 2005 and will now report to Munns.
