Asbestos and environmental losses rise for first time since 2017: AM Best

An uptick in environmental losses last year increased insurers’ total asbestos and environmental (A&E) losses for the first time since 2017, according to AM Best, up by 2% to $1.8bn after a fall of 7% in 2019.
