BBC Europe editor Katya Adler to provide Brexit speech at European Risk Management Awards

Commercial Risk Europe and Ferma are pleased to announce that BBC Europe editor, Katya Adler, will provide a keynote address on the impact of Brexit to attendees of this year’s European Risk Management Awards taking place on 6 November 2017 at The Gibson Hall, London. Reporting during the most turbulent times in Europe for many years, Ms Adler has become one of the most respected, popular and renowned British broadcast journalists. She is the BBC's leading voice on Brexit and the EU. Her extensive interviews with political leaders across the continent have given her unique insider knowledge on European attitudes and intentions regarding a Brexit deal. Ms Adler is also an expert on populism across Europe, the future of the EU, Europe's relations with Trump and Putin, plus much more. She has recently broadcast her own documentary for the BBC entitled After Brexit: The Battle for Europe, as well as a programme for Panorama entitled Brexit What Happens Next? She will give the risk management and insurance community further insights into the Brexit negotiations and the latest state of play when it meets in November for the annual awards run by Commercial Risk Europe and Ferma. Once again, we have assembled a team of highly thought of, and fully independent, risk management judges from within Ferma and its national member associations to decide this year’s award winners. This ensures that the awards are created and judged by risk managers for risk managers. The inaugural winner of the Risk Manager Lifetime Achievement award will sit on the judging panel. The awards initiative aims to raise standards across the risk management and transfer professions, while simultaneously boosting the standing of our readers and Ferma members.
