Berkshire Hathaway Specialty launches in Nordics

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) is launching in the Nordics with a new office in Stockholm and a team from Zurich Insurance. Initial lines of business will include executive and professional, general property, energy and construction.

Anna Green, who was previously CEO of Zurich Insurance Sweden, will head the new Nordic operation for BHSI. She will be joined by Karin Bryner as head of executive and professional lines and Anton Holmgren as head of general property.

Bryner was previously underwriting manager, financial lines, for Zurich Insurance in Sweden. Holmgren worked at Zurich Insurance as head of customer and distribution, having previously been Nordic head of underwriting for property, engineering lines and marine.

The new business will serve clients in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

“Launching BHSI in the Nordics is an exciting continuation of BHSI’s steady global expansion. We will continue to expand our local team and capabilities,” said Andreas Krause, head of DACH for BHSI.
