Casini named Howden Italy CEO

Howden has appointed Aon’s Federico Casini as CEO in Italy.

Casini has 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having held senior roles at leading broking firms including Poseidon Insurance Brokers and Sanpaolo Insurance Broker.

He has spent the past 17 years at Aon, where he most recently oversaw the broker’s Italian operations.

Howden Italy was established in 2021 and now employs more than 800 people after a series of strategic acquisitions. These acquisitions include Assiteca, one of Italy’s largest brokers, and most recently Assimovie, a market leader in TV and film insurance.

Howden said it is now the third largest broker in Italy, servicing national and multinational clients.
