CFC offers E&O package cover for US manufacturers
London-based specialty insurer CFC has launched a package coverage for US manufacturers that combines errors and omissions insurance with cyber, pollution, liability, media and advertising injury, and intellectual property protection all under one policy.
The coverage is designed to address potential gaps in cover for losses that may not be fully addressed by a manufacturer’s general liability or product recall insurance policy, CFC said.
The cyber protection under the policy is backed by threat intelligence, security alerts and risk management services delivered through CFC’s Response mobile app.
Limits of $5m are available for E&O and cyber, says an email from a CFC spokeswoman. Excess & umbrella liability can be included if higher limits are required, according to the email.
Coverage points include pollution liability at third-party sites resulting from the manufactured product, media liability including cover for claims such as defamation and licensing breaches, and intellectual property protection against trademark and copyright infringement claims.
