IGI names London market veteran as chief underwriting officer
Bermuda’s International General Insurance (IGI) has appointed Christopher Jarvis to the role of chief underwriting officer across the IGI Group.
Jarvis is tasked with optimising the performance of IGI’s underwriting team leaders within their existing portfolios and to also be responsible for evaluating new business opportunities.
Based in the company’s London office, Jarvis is now a member of the IGI executive team and reports to Waleed Jabsheh, president of IGI.
Jarvis joins IGI from Canopius Managing Agency, where he was joint active underwriter, Syndicate 4444 and Syndicate 1861. Prior to that, he held various underwriting positions at several Lloyd’s syndicates and London market (re)insurers.
