Lawrence Bird to head WTW’s Asia-Pacific captive operations

Lawrence Bird has been appointed to head up WTW’s captive management operations in Asia-Pacific. Bird will be based in Singapore and report to Peter Carter, head of WTW’s global captive practice. He will be on WTW’s global captive practice executive leadership team.

Bird has been in insurance for 35 years, including 23 years in captive and insurance management based in Guernsey and then in Bermuda for 16 years where he headed Marsh’s captive operations.

Carter commented: “We are delighted that Lawrence will be joining us. His experience and insights will be critical in helping us realise the opportunity in this strategically important region for us.”
