Marsh appoints De Bremme to head up Belgium and Luxembourg
Kristof De Bremme has been named CEO of Marsh McLennan in Belgium and Luxembourg and president of Marsh in Belgium and Luxembourg. De Bremme succeeds Rebecca Tielemans in the roles.
De Bremme started his career at Marsh and rejoined the broker at the end of last year as head of marine, cargo & logistics, Europe after 14 years at AIG, where he was global head of marine for the last seven years.
De Bremme will relocate from London to Brussels for the new role and will report to Christos Adamantiadis, CEO, Marsh McLennan, Europe.
Marsh said De Bremme will lead a team across Marsh McLennan’s offices in Brussels, Luxembourg, Antwerp and Ghent, bringing insurance solutions and risk advisory services to clients across the two countries.
De Bremme said he recognised the challenges facing businesses in Luxembourg and Belgium. “While globally recognised as major hubs for policy, regulation and trade, companies operating in Belgium and Luxembourg are particularly vulnerable to fluctuating economic cycles and talent shortages, as well as risks associated with cyber threats and natural catastrophes such as flooding.”
Adamantiadis added: “Kristof is an outstanding leader who has consistently demonstrated his unerring commitment to clients and colleagues throughout his career. With his leadership and the power of Marsh McLennan’s global capabilities, our teams in Belgium and Luxembourg are well placed to support clients navigate their way through the ever-challenging risk environment and continue to thrive.”
