McDonald’s settles French tax probe for €1.25bn

A Paris court has approved a €1.25bn settlement for tax evasion between fast-food chain McDonald’s and France’s financial prosecutor’s office.

The second-largest tax settlement in France to date, McDonald’s will pay a €509m fine and €737m in back taxes for alleged evasion between 2009 and 2020.
