New technology and cyber product head at Hiscox USA

Specialist insurer Hiscox has promoted Christopher Hojnowski to vice president, technology and cyber product head. He will report to Doug Karpp, SVP, head of specialty risks, Hiscox USA.

According to Hiscox, in this new role, Hojnowski will focus on developing the Hiscox cyber and technology products for both brokers and direct customers. He joined Hiscox as the technical underwriting lead for tech and cyber in 2022, leading operations for the area. Prior to joining Hiscox, he held director of product and product management roles with Counterpart and Digital Partners, a Munich Re company.

“Particularly with the recent explosion of AI, cyber and technology are developing more rapidly than ever before and it requires someone who can stay ahead of the curve,” said Karpp. “Since joining Hiscox, Chris has consistently thought outside of the box to consider new risks and drive the business forward.
