NZ insurers face second NZD1bn+ Q1 loss from Cyclone Gabrielle

New Zealand’s Cyclone Gabrielle is expected to cost insurers NZD1.5bn ($938m), according to an initial estimate from catastrophe data firm Perils. The February storm followed just two weeks after floods affected many of the same areas.
