P&I clubs NorthStandard and Noord Nederlandsche sign partnership
UK-based protection & indemnity club NorthStandard has formally partnered with Noord Nederlandsche P&I Club (NNPC) in an arrangement that will see NorthStandard become NNPC’s exclusive reinsurer.
NNPC, which is an associate member of the International Group of P&I Clubs, said it will be able to offer shipowners more products and services going forward.
NorthStandard said it gains a partner on the European continent through the deal, with NNPC a player in northern Europe’s P&I market including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
The mutual clubs said the new partnership formalises their long-standing relationship and will support NNPC’s ambitions for growth and diversification.
“Building on the success of our shared history and vision for the future, we are pleased to formalise our partnership with NorthStandard, with full confidence that the relationship will help NNPC realise its long-term growth and diversification ambitions,” said Rob Beets, chairman of the board of directors at Noord Nederlandsche P&I Club.
Jeremy Grose, managing director at NorthStandard, added: “We are delighted to formalise this new partnership with NNPC and build on a collaboration that began over 15 years ago. We look forward to working with the NNPC team to achieve our shared long-term growth targets and securing a partner on the European continent.”
