QBE names marine underwriting director

QBE has named Simon Lascelles as director of underwriting for marine, including subsidiary British Marine, which specialises in protection & indemnity and hull cover for smaller vessels.

Lascelles was previously portfolio manager for cargo, international markets, and has worked for QBE for ten years.

Kevin Shallow, executive director for QBE’s international markets, said: “Simon brings a wealth of experience to the role and as an established leader will help to develop our position in the market.”
