Rims names Sterling as new president
Patrick Sterling, vice-president of legendary people at Texas Roadhouse, is the new president of US risk and insurance management society Rims.
He succeeds Ellen R Dunkin, senior vice-president, general counsel and chief risk officer at Amalgamated Life Insurance Co.
Jennifer Santiago, director, risk management and safety at Wakefern Food Corp, has been named vice-president of Rims.
As first reported in our sister publication Business Insurance, Sterling, a member of the New York-based organisation for 17 years, joined Rims’ global board of directors in 2018 and has served as board secretary, treasurer and vice-president.
He was also actively involved with Rims Kentuckiana Bluegrass Chapter in Lexington, Kentucky.
Prior to joining Texas Roadhouse in 2004, Sterling held several leadership positions at Ruby Tuesday.
David E Arick, assistant treasurer, global risk management at International Paper Co, has been named Rims treasurer, and Kristen Peed, director of corporate risk management at CBIZ, has been named secretary.
Rims has also named some new board members for 2022. These are: Manuel Padilla, vice-president, risk management and insurance at MacAndrews & Forbes; and Christie Weinstein, director, risk management at Honeywell International.
