SCOR announces exit from new oil field underwriting but NGOs say not enough

French reinsurance group SCOR has announced that it will cease underwriting new oil field production projects from 2023. But environmental campaigners says the commitment is “timid” because it does not include gas projects and lags behind leading rivals such as Swiss Re, Allianz and Hannover Re.
