Claims management service provider Sedgwick has launched a suite of services designed to cater for energy companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

The UK-based company has also appointed a team to manage the new services, led by Nigel Cook, currently CEO of Sedgwick’s Singapore business as well as head of major and complex losses for Asia.

He will be supported by Neil Best, director, energy, and Liew Boon Tat, executive energy adjuster, major and complex loss.

According to a statement, the new specialist team will be focused on handling claims and loss adjusting for energy companies while also tracking emerging trends as a result of the transition from traditional to renewable and sustainable energy.

Their capabilities also include serving traditional power plants, infrastructure and construction service providers in the energy and power sectors.

“At Sedgwick, we have the necessary expertise to help clients manage and resolve challenging claims in the complicated natural resources arena,” said Veronica Grigg, CEO of Sedgwick in Asia.

“With the addition of our new specialists, we have a wealth of expert resources who can see all claims through from start to conclusion.”

“Amid the expansion of clean energy and natural resources industries in Asia, this is a pivotal time for us to offer our resources to clients and invest in long-time partnerships in the region,” added Cook.

The specialist team will focus on handling claims and supporting emerging trends in the region’s traditional energy mix as well as the region’s transition to renewable and other sustainable energy sources, such as thermal and renewable power, according to a company statement.
