Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has named Maxime Schons as managing director of European finance and compliance to continue its expansion across Europe.
The captive and insurance management firm said Mr Schons will be based in Luxembourg but has a pan-European focus.
“We are seeing strong growth in Europe, both in new formations and takeovers, and the continued addition of senior personnel in our European domiciles is in response to the demand,” said SRS president and CEO Brady Young.
Among other services, SRS provides financial reporting, regulatory compliance and underwriting managementto existing and prospective captive insurance companies.
Mr Schons will join the firm on 1 September from Risk and Reinsurance Solutions SA (2RS).
He will serve on the executive committee of SRS’s European operations and will be appointed to SRS Europe’s board.
Mr Schons is currently chief operating officer at 2RS. Since joining the firm in 2013, he has held a variety of leadership role in charge of teams covering all aspects of captive management, risk management and business development. He also ran mandates as licensed manager and/or director for a significant number of reinsurance captives in Luxembourg and France.
