Tryg joins RSA Global Network as new strategic partner

Scandinavian insurer Tryg A/S is to join RSA’s global network as a strategic network partner. The RSA Global Network will supply Tryg’s corporate customers overseas with support and services.

Tryg, the largest non-life insurance company in Scandinavia, said it chose the RSA Global Network to partner with in line with its strategy to support customers requiring overseas programmes as part of a controlled master programme.

The RSA Global Network provides multinational customers with local expertise and service through a combination of owned operations and network partners, operating in more than 180 territories globally. Prior to joining the network, Tryg will complete a comprehensive onboarding programme led by the RSA Global Network team.

Barbara O’Reilly, global network director, RSA Global Network, said: “Our global network has been providing multinational clients with efficient and professional local service for more than 20 years. On the back of Intact’s engagement with Tryg in 2020 around the acquisition of RSA, we are delighted to welcome Tryg to the global network and look forward to further developing a strong and thriving long-term relationship with them.”

Hans-Jørgen Molvig, senior vice-president, Tryg, said: “We are delighted to join the RSA Global Network and we are looking forward to continue the excellent cooperation between Tryg, RSA and Intact. The relationship is a very good match for Tryg and is in accordance with the company’s purpose to provide excellent service to our corporate customers with operations outside Scandinavia.”

In November 2020, Intact Financial Corporation and Tryg announced a joint offer to acquire RSA Insurance Group; and in June 2021, RSA became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation.
