Aventum hires first group CRO
Specialty insurance company Aventum has appointed Robert Moorehead-Lane as chief risk officer (CRO), a newly created role for the group that houses broker Consilium and MGA Rokstone.
Moorehead-Lane joins Aventum from Aspen Insurance, where he also held the position of CRO.
Aventum said the new role shows its “commitment to manage risk effectively and deliver value for its people, partners and clients as it accelerates growth”.
It said the new head of risk will over see its risk framework and governance, and boost the group’s resilience.
David Bearman, CEO of Aventum, said: “Robert’s extensive expertise will make a vital contribution to Aventum as we continue our ambitious growth journey. It’s a critical role designed to deliver even more value through the safe and compliant operation of our business. His leadership skills and deep understanding of the complexities of the insurance regulatory environment will be invaluable.”
