AXA Corporate Solutions appoints new regional CEO for Asia Dr Ulrich Guntram has been appointed as regional CEO for AXA Corporate Solutions in Asia. Effective from 1 April, 2014, he replaces Ergu Genya who held this position since 2011. Dr Guntram has covered various management positions within AXA Group for the past 17 years. In 2001, he assumed responsibility for AXA's art insurance business as CEO of AXA Art Versicherung AG.hidePhilippe Rocard, CEO of AXA Corporate Solutions, said on the move: "With Asia being a major part of the group's strategic priorities, Ulrich's expertise and track record make him the ideal choice to help drive success in the region. We look forward to the benefits of his experience and leadership capabilities as he takes on the role of Regional CEO for AXA Corporate Solutions in Asia." He added: "Ergu played a prominent role in building the foundations of our P&C operations in Asia where he was able to initiate a strong growth aligned with our ambitious objectives. After April 1st, he will concentrate on the success of the transition to the new joint venture with Tian Ping in China, a major step for AXA CS activities in the country.” AIG in Europe makes new appointments to trade credit team AIG in Europe has made three new appointments to its trade credit team. Oliver Lambert has been appointed as Trade Finance Manager and Ulf Cramer joins as head of the firm's Trade Credit Insurance Excess of Loss and Trade Finance initiative. Marius Wolmarans has taken up a new role managing the development and growth of AIG's multinational business across EMEA, with specific focus on major accounts and financial institutions. Prior to joining AIG, Mr Lambert held an underwriting role for 11 years in the financial solutions division of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance. Here he played a key role in the underwriting, maintenance and claims handling of portfolios of insurance-backed corporate credit and construction loan finance transactions. He will be based in London. With more than 10 years' experience in the credit insurance and trade finance sector, Mr Cramer previously worked as a senior executive at COFACE. In his new role at AIG he will be responsible for the sales and product development of trade finance products. He will based in Frankfurt. Mr Wolmarans' career has been split between underwriting and broking, where he has been instrumental in placing some of the largest market programmes in the credit insurance industry. His previous roles include Managing Director at Euler Hermes California and Head of the Finpro Division at Marsh South Africa. He will be based in London. Neil Ross, Trade Credit Regional Manager EMEA, said: "These appointments significantly strengthen our trade credit offering at an important time for our business. Demand for trade credit insurance is increasing as companies continue to face the challenges of an uncertain global economy coupled with a new set of exposures as they push into new export markets, searching for the growth opportunities." Lockton appoints Mark Randall as Senior Vice President Lockton has appointed Mark Randall as Senior Vice President. He joins the Lockton MENA operation in the Dubai International Finance Centre, UAE. His role will focus on developing Lockton's tailored risk management and bespoke insurance solutions. Wael Khatib, Senior Partner & Chairman, Lockton (MENA) commented: "Lockton is committed to delivering superior service from our operation in the MENA region. This appointment reinforces our pledge to make a recognisable difference to our clients' business through innovative solutions to their risk management and insurance needs."
