HDI Global names new director for property in UK and Ireland

HDI Global has appointed Kate Sutcliffe from Sompo International as director for property in the UK and Ireland.

She takes over from Jon Bartlett, who retired at the end of last year.

Sutcliffe has more than 20 years’ underwriting experience and was most recently head of UK retail property in London at Sompo International. She has previously worked for Swiss Re and AIG.

She will serve all of HDI Global’s UK and Ireland clients, including those with multinational operations needing international programmes.

Sutcliffe will report to Antonia Osborne, director of underwriting for UK and Ireland.

“Kate brings a wealth of expertise to our business, and I am confident she will play a significant role at HDI as we drive towards our growth and profitability targets, while supporting clients with expert advice and specialist propositions,” said Osborne.

“I also want to thank Jon for his hard work and dedication throughout his years at HDI and wish him all the very best in his retirement,” she added.
