IRM adds Aviva’s Epstein to board

The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has appointed Aviva’s David Epstein as a new non-executive director.

The IRM said Epstein brings a wealth of experience to the role, making him a valuable addition as it moves into the next phase of its international expansion.

Epstein is group ALM and treasury director at Aviva. He is also a director at Aviva Capital Partners, a subsidiary of Aviva that invests in regeneration, real estate and infrastructure projects in the UK.

The new board member has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services covering investment banking, pensions, insurance and reinsurance. He has advised corporates, public sector and financial institutions across Europe and North America on strategic risk management.

Stephen Sidebottom, IRM chair, said: “We are pleased to be able to welcome David to the IRM family. His insights and vision will be invaluable as we continue our journey to shape the global future of risk management. With David’s wealth of experience and industry expertise, IRM is poised to strengthen its position as a global leader in the provision of risk management education, training and thought leadership.”
