Paul Lewis has been promoted to the role of regional director – Americas for Maxis Global Benefits Network (Maxis GBN). He will also oversee the newly created strategic accounts division in the Americas region.
According to Maxis GBN, the new division has been created “to manage and build further on the extensive, high-calibre client base the firm has in the region”.
Mr Lewis will report to Ricardo Almeida, head of business development at Maxis GBN, who led the Americas team himself before stepping into his current role.
“I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to further grow Maxis GBN’s presence in the Americas region,” said Mr Lewis. “It’s one of the most competitive markets, home to some of the world’s largest multinationals and has a highly sophisticated employee benefits sector. Our ambition is to build on our momentum in the region by focusing on innovation while continuing to offer the best solutions and service to multinationals with our experienced, dedicated team.”
He has more than 15 years’ experience working with multinational organisations and implementing global employee benefits programmes. He joined Maxis GBN in 2016 and most recently headed up the US east region’s business development team. Prior to joining Maxis GBN, he was a regional sales manager with MetLife Expatriate Benefits. He is a citizen of both the US and UK.
In addition to Mr Lewis’s promotion, Paul Miehlke has become the director of Maxis GBN’s Americas strategic accounts division. Christinea Chase is also expanding her role as a senior client relationship manager for the east of the US, while Diana Daszewski is being promoted to senior account manager. All three will report to Mr Lewis.
Mr Almeida said: “Our Americas team has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and does an exceptional job, working with some of the largest and most sophisticated multinational companies in the US, Latin America and Canada. With Paul Lewis’s leadership, we’re very confident that we will see even more positive results, with a strong focus on customer experience and teamwork. We’ll be able to continue the growth in the region and cement both Maxis GBN’s and our network members’ positions as market leaders.”
