Parima and Anziif team up for certification programme
The partnership, which was announced at the Parima conference in Hong Kong will see the two associations jointly certify individuals as Parima Anziif – Certified Risk Professionals (PA-CRPs) based on the successful completion of the five risk management modules, covering topics such as integrated risk management, operational risk, risk treatment and financing practices and risk management frameworks and documentation.
“The new education offering will allow risk managers to differentiate themselves as risk professionals,” said Stacey Huang, Parima executive director. “By attaining PA-CRP, they have demonstrated that they have knowledge and expertise in risk management and that they are dedicated to upholding high standards of ethical and professional conduct that the profession rightly requires.”
“At Anziif we have been providing technical information for over 100 years and training risk managers for over a decade and certified more than 50,000 in that time,” said Prue Willsford, Anziif chief executive. “Education is important to the credibility of the profession. Parima and Anziif both share a vision and a commitment to the region.”

The commitment to ensuring the education drive covers the whole region was echoed by Parima chairman Franck Barron. “We are going to see a growing convergence in certification regionally. We have to make the courses relevant to all the regions.”
The agreement with Anziif adds to the existing partnership that Parima forged with Lloyds in 2016, the Lloyds Parima Professional Development Programme, which saw the insurer run a number of two-day education courses for risk managers.
The PA-CRP is currently open for registrations and the first courses will commence in February.
