International Programme News – Latin America Report 2016
Global Programmes are crucial to corporates that want to manage their insurance-buying in a centralised, controlled manner – ensuring full coverage and protection worldwide, while at the same time ensuring compliance globally and achieving cost savings through benefits of scale.
This report, sponsored by Zurich, focuses on ten major territories in Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. For each country, it examines the attitude towards non-admitted insurance, major recent legal, regulatory or tax changes that impact global programme business, restrictions on foreign insurers operating in the market and a brief overview of local market capacity and players. It also examines the role of captives in Latin America, how they work with global programmes and the benefits they can bring.
This report on Latin America is part of the International Programme News series of special reports focusing on regions around the world, providing up-to-date information and guidance on tax, regulation, compliance and the insurance marketplace.
