Spotlight on Business Travel Report – Part 1

Essential things to know about the ISO 31030 standard on managing business travel risk

It is no longer good enough to send off your employees across the world with a phone number to call in an emergency. So what should companies be doing to ensure their staff are protected while abroad? Fortunately, in 2021 during the height of the pandemic, the International Standards Organisation launched ISO 31030, the first standard dedicated to business travel risk management.

In this first report of a two-part series, in partnership with Chubb, we identify the post-pandemic changes to business travel habits and the risks involved, we explain the 31030 standard, and we demonstrate how companies can implement and maintain their own business travel risk plans using the standard as a framework.

The report will also look at the role of insurance in ensuring a business travel risk management that is fit for purpose in a post-pandemic world.
